"A judge's job is to be fair, respectful, work diligently and  be prepared, be knowledgeable in the law, and be compassionate so that justice is served."

"I promise that I will be fair, respectful, work hard, be prepared, be on time, be knowledgeable in the law and be compassionate, so that justice is served."

Walking into a courtroom may be an intimidating experience for you, a family member or friend who might be required to testify in Court as a witness to an accident or crime, or for various other reasons.  It is a natural reaction to feel nervous, or annoyed at the time you have to take away from your family or work.  Upon arrival to Court, one of the first observations that a witness usually makes is the Judge's demeanor, a desire to be timely heard and for justice to be served. Those are a few, among many, reasons why a Judge's "fairness", "respect", "being on time", "knowledge of the law", and "compassion" are  important.

Born in Fort Lauderdale, Florida and also raised in Queens and Long Island, New York with her two siblings Kim learned at an early age about respect, giving back to the community, and family.

Kim is 53 years old, a Pompano Beach resident.  Kim loves anything that has to do with the water, is a private pilot and has 2 dogs.

"I went to law school to make a difference in people’s lives, and being a Judge would be a vehicle to making sure justice is served. I would bring my 26 years of legal experience practicing in different courtrooms throughout the State of Florida, my life experiences and community involvement to Broward County."

Kim is running in an open seat, which means a judge is retiring, and there is a vacancy. Kim has practiced for 26 years in many areas of the law, and would be qualified to preside in either a criminal or civil courtroom.

Kim has handled: all types of criminal cases and civil cases, jury and non-jury trials, including Felony, Misdemeanor, Kidnapping, Drug Trafficking, Possession of Cocaine/Marijuana, Burglary, Simple Battery, DUI, DUI Manslaughter, Trespass, Juvenile, Baker Act and Marchman Act (mental health), Foreclosures, Dissolution of Marriage, Paternity, Modification of Final Judgment, Domestication of Foreign Judgments, Contempt and Enforcement, Collection of Debts, Domestic Violence, Corporate, Adoption, Dependency, Probate (wills), Landlord Tenant, Personal Injury, and Federal Immigration Deportation cases throughout the State of Florida.

Kim has represented: physicians, firefighters, law enforcement, business owners, nurses, attorneys, teachers, pilots, school counselors, single parents, elderly, private investigators, salesman, retired persons, postal carriers and others.

Thank you for taking the time to learn more about Kim, and her qualifications and community involvement.
